Please be aware that training courses are all subject to sufficient interest and sufficient budget

 

1. Agri Sector SME’s

  •  Sheep Shearing, City & Guilds award. Equipment maintenance in sheep shearing
  • Drover Training, Animal welfare and Handling, Livestock training.
  • DIY AI 5 day training —-Approved by the Department of Agriculture
  • Farm Management Skills, including Dairy Hygiene and Dairy Management, Suckler production, Sheep production.
  • Marketing your Farm Business, Business strategy— Supply chain management , connecting consumer and farmer, Improved quality standards & cross compliance
  • Introduction to bovine genetics in the suckler herd, 1 day Herd health.
  • Sales Training suitable in the agri sector.
  • Farm Health and Safety
  • Social Media and its practical application to farming
  • Digital Skills and its practical application to Farming
  • Hoof Paring, Industry stand award.

                                 

2. Construction Sector and Rural SME’s

  • Confined space operations.
  • Pallet truck high reach operations, mobile elevation and forklift training.
  • Occupational First-Aid, Health & Safety at Work, (Fetac awards)
  • Managing Safely for Construction Managers, IOSH refresher training, Health and Safety at Roadwork’s.
  • Manual Handling Instructor Training
  • MEWP- Mobile Elevated Work Platform.
  • Work Place Risk Assessment ( 1 day)

 

 

3. Forestry Sector Skills

            1. Chain Saw and forestry skills to varying levels   (City & Guilds NPTC Certificates)

            2. City & Guilds CS30, 31, 32,35,38,39, CS 48, Wood chipper, PA1-PA6 Spraying,

            3. ATV   Training.

            4. Certificate of Competence in Utility Arboriculture (UA1)

Many of the above courses are short 1 day or evening courses. However accredited training such as Sheep Shearing, Horticulture, Chainsaw, may be over 1- 5 days depending on the accreditation being pursued. The above courses are flexible and customised to meet the needs and demands of Rural Enterprise. Often needs change rapidly and the training programme is flexible to enable adjustment to meet changing needs. Limited places are available to the unemployed.
