UFU Roadshow Is Fermanagh Bound With Many Topics To Discuss
The Ulster Farmers’ Union (UFU) annual roadshow is fast approaching, with many important topics to discuss at the Killyhevlin Hotel on Monday, January 20. The event at the Killyhevlin starts at 8pm.
UFU President William Irvine expressed excitement for the opportunity to meet face-to-face with members across Northern Ireland.
He emphasised the significant potential of United Kingdom farming and food production, while acknowledging the challenges ahead.

“There are a number of pressing issues facing our farmers, from inheritance tax changes to TB, planning issues, farm gate prices, production costs, future agriculture policy, and climate change,” said Mr. Irvine.
“At the roadshows, we aim to have open discussions where members can ask questions and express their opinions.”
The UFU President also highlighted the importance of member input, stressing that every farmer can contribute to overcoming the challenges in the industry and shaping its future.
“With the guidance and support of our membership, we will continue to lobby for the best outcomes for our farming families, ensuring they can produce food profitably and sustainably.”
The full list of roadshow dates includes
Tyrone on Monday, January 13 at Silverbirch Hotel, Omagh;
Armagh on Wednesday, January 15 at the Armagh City Hotel;
Down on Thursday, January 23 at the La Mon, Comber;
Londonderry on Monday, January 27 at The Lodge, Coleraine and
County Antrim on Wednesday, January 29 at the Tullyglass Hotel, Ballymena.
Farmers across Northern Ireland are encouraged to attend the meetings to engage in these vital discussions.
